BitComet is a download manager that uses BitTorrent format, meaning that it can upload or download files using that format over P2P networks.
It can use HTTP or FTP downloads, build torrents from a file on your computer in order to share it with others, download video, mp3 of flash files from any web page (like YouTube). You can even download an eDonkey plugin to catch eLinks with BitComet instead of eDonkey or eMule.
The download process can be interrupted and resumed without losing the downloaded parts. You can preview the content of audio and video files while the downloading process takes place. Users can set priorities for certain files, or pause or restart the downloading of a file. BitComet finds mirror automatically, to increase the speed of your downloads.
BitComet´s interface is tidy and user-friendly. It supports 43 different languages, manages correctly encoded URLs. It even has its own web browser with tabs, so you can browse the Internet while you download files, without opening another program.
